This year the major change in the Mathematics Examination is that the exam will be of two types:
- Maths (Basics): The student who don’t want to perceive maths as a subject. The paper will be easier as compared to maths (Standard).
- Maths (Standard): The student who want to perceive maths as a subject.
Important Math topic for class X Board:
- In a similar triangle, proof of BPT and Pythagoras is asked generally.
- The graph is involved in two chapters, Linear equation in two variables and ‘Ogive’ in Statistics. Do Practice well using a graph.
- One question of construction is definitely asked, so practice it with proper geometrical instruments.
- No need to put extra efforts if you know the formula. You can do it very easily in Statistics.
- Learn the statement of EDL, FTA and important theorem.
Before the exam
- Solve the NCERT first (with solved examples)
- Solve at least 5 sample papers in real-time and make it check by teachers and get feedback from the teacher for the improvement.
- Make a summary of each chapter which includes formulae and some important points related to the chapter. It makes great help at the time of revision.
- Devote more time to the chapters in which you are weak
- Time management during the exam. Maintain the speed from the start.
- Read the question carefully before answering.
- Do the questions which are familiar to you.
- Don’t spend much time on a particular question.
- Make margin on the right side for the rough work.
- Graph and construction should be neat and clean, use sharpened pencil, ruler and compass.
- Keep the answer in BOX.
- In MCQs, you need to just write the correct option (Don’t waste time in writing the detailed solution).
- Keep the answer sheet clean. Avoid overwriting and cutting in the answer sheet.
- If you assume any variable in question then use its proper units. Example: Let the speed of the boat is x km/hr.
- In Construction questions, you must write the step of Constructions.
- In Graph questions, you must write what the coordinate axis is representing & you must write the scale.
- In the Proof type of questions you must write Given, To Prove, Construction (if any), then Proof.
